~ Anchor House/Sea Farer’s Ministry – Reaching out to workers aboard incoming ships docked at Port Manatee and long distance truck drivers delivering goods and supplies.
~ Ballard Elementary School – Partnership. Providing food, beds, lice treatment and more for kids.
~ Beds for Kids Ministry – First supplies child size beds, complete with mattress and linens, to those in need in our community.
~ Church’s Discretionary Fund — Money donated (at the Communion altar) and used by the church for emergency financial needs for members and others.
~ Drug Recovery Program – “High On Jesus” at First Church. Breaking the cycle of addiction.
~ First For Kids — Church’s preschool/daycare program.
~ Florida United Methodist Children’s Home – Fifth Sundays, we take a special offering to help with the support of children that live there. Located in Enterprise, Fl.
~ The Food Bank of Manatee — Financial support and food donation.
~ Hope Family Services, Inc. — Assistance to domestic violence survivors.
~ Learn to Fish – Resident Home for women and children who have been traumatized by abuse, sex trafficking and other crimes.
~ Loving Hands Ministries – Christ centered residential program for young men who have had life-controlling addictions.
~ Manatee Religious Services — Annual support to assist the clearing house that helps local families needing financial assistance.
~ Meals On Wheels – Financial support to help with meals delivered to shut-in’s.
~ Neighborhood Outreach – Reaching out to neighborhood families through Easter Party, Fall Festival and movie nights.
~ Our Daily Bread — Providing for daily nutritional needs of the poor and needy in our community. Our members also contribute pocket change to the Penny Pot each week as financial aid.
~ Solve Maternity Homes — Residences available to unwed mothers in crisis situations.
~ Turning Points — A place where the homeless can receive assistance with basic survival needs.
~ Volunteers of America – financial support to assist veterans, seniors, and mentally challenged with low-income housing and training to help assimilate into society.
