At First for Kids Preschool, the children are eager to learn, and enjoy having fun both inside and outside!

Some of the activities at FFK include Music with Mr. Dean each Thursday, the librarian visit once a month, Chapel every Friday and field trips for the older classes.

Throughout the year we have different scheduled activities including a Trike-a-thon to help raise money for St. Jude’s, a Thanksgiving lunch for families to attend with their child, a Easter Egg Hunt with the church and, as always, our church at FUMC always welcomes families to attend any of the services and gatherings offered.

Our preschool offers lunch for the children 3 days a week for a minimal price. Monday’s lunch includes a burger, apple slices, chips and lemonade for $3.00. Wednesday’s lunch is chicken nuggets, roll with butter, lemonade, and fruit cup for $3.00. Friday’s lunch is a slice of pizza, cup of applesauce, and lemonade for $2.50, or add another slice for a $1.00. Parents working close are welcome to visit on their break or for lunch.

Staff is certified in CPR and First-Aid, and some have received CDAE’s which certifies them as Child Development Specialists. The staff works hard to create a learning environment that all children will learn and develop in. Using a variety of techniques and resources, the children are introduced to new sensations with sensory activities, varied ways of strengthening fine motor skills and gross motor skills, as well as, socializing and learning to get along with others.
